I have been making a full time income since 1996. Back then, I had a full time job and then some. I was a carer for two parents with dementia. It was tough, I can tell you. I started blogging because I wanted something for myself. Anyone who has ever been a full time carer will get that. I had to be awake all the time my parents were. This began when my mother left the electric hob on, and then covered it with a tee towel. So although i didn’t actually go out to work I understood very well the challenges of balancing blogging with full- time job. My father went to bed at 1.00 am and my mother was up at 7.00 am. Despite the fact I only had 6 hours to sleep, I used to write in that time. My mother had advanced dementia, Dad not so much, so I could write from when she went to sleep at about 11.00 until 2.00am. This was the time of day, that I had a vision of online success and control, it was priceless, and more than qualifies me to write this article.

You can choose to start and set aside a couple of hours at the weekend. I know what I am talking about here. I started my side hustle when working seventeen hours daily, seven days a week as a chef. I know what exhaustion at work feels like. I still managed an hour a day twice a week, and no matter how tired I was, I did something to make my dream come true.
